While Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali chipped in with half-centuries it felt like CSK had a chance however, after they fell it was one-way traffic. Earlier, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan’s tons ensured Gujarat Titans got to 231/3 from their 20 overs.

With the win GT who were at the bottom of the table have moved on to 7th position and CSK who were at fourth position before today will stay there as of now. CSK have to face Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at noon at Chepauk.

Well, the game was over way before that final was over. Yes, fans might be happy with the way Dhoni batted in the end but CSK has lost the game and now their chances to qualify for the playoffs become complicated. This is a big defeat to them and a deflating one. As per GT for most of their defense, they defended like a team in 10th place. If not for Mohit's spell the game would have been lot closer than it ended up to be.
