The first few members of the Indian team led by captain Rohit Sharma arrived in New York on Sunday, May 26. The Indian team was welcomed by several fans of the Indian team in the USA.

The first batch of the Indian team has arrived in the USA to play in the T20 World Cup. Led by India captain Rohit Sharma, top players like Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant among others travelled to the Americas as the first batch of players. The Indian team was welcomed by fans in New York on Sunday, 26 May. The Board of Control of India (BCCI) shared the video of the Indian team after their touchdown in New York.
Among the notable absentees were Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, who had ended their Indian Premier League campaign. Kohli has been unable to travel to the USA due to paperwork issues and is expected to join the team at the end of this month. Pandya on the other hand is reportedly in England.
